Brave People borrows a line from the Venezuelan national anthem. While the anthem feels official, formal, and removed from the lived realities of Venezuelans, the people themselves are anything but distant. They are diverse and multiracial. And while those in power continue to struggle for control, and while we don’t find solutions for the complex problems that affect us, people remain in resistance, living, and showing up for who they are: brave people.
